ESA Awards Cast4All With New Contract For "Satellite Transport Security"

Cast4All is conducting a research project for the European Space Agency (ESA) to design, develop, integrate, test and demonstrate transport security in its Content Conductor® provisioning portal system. Two different aspects are being demonstrated: multicast security and unicast boost security.

For multicast security we define a security policy, and offer the following features: confidentiality, integrity, authentication, non-repudiation, access control per multicast transmission and denial of service protection.

The purpose is to integrate all the required security features in the Cast4All modular framework performing at this point the forward error correction and the transmission control.

For unicast boost security we introduce an asymmetric Turbo Internet access scheme for a private or secure VPN (Virtual Private Network), with secure tunnelling features.
