Cast4All holds at Barco a world première of its advanced IP-multicast portal solution to transfer motion pictures via satellite.

After many decades of using the same basic technology (celluloid film) to record and project motion pictures in theatres, a radical change is taking place in the Cinema Industry.

Instead of rolling celluloid film through a mechanical projector, rolls of film are gradually being replaced by digital files.

This radical shift will save movie industry hundreds of millions of Euros in film print production and distribution.

During the last year, Cast4All has developed with the support of ESA (European Space Agency) an advanced distribution platform that enables the guaranteed secure and complete delivery of full-length digital movies via satellite to cinema theatres.
